When you arrive for your personal color analysis (PCA) session, expect nothing less than a chic, sophisticated welcome. I’ll greet you warmly, offer you a beverage (Rose’ all what?  DAY), and ensure you know where the bathroom is—just in case you need a moment to freshen up. We’ll have a relaxed little chat about Color Theory, so feel free to ask any burning questions or share those nagging concerns. A little tête-à-tête before we get started sets the stage. 

What should I expect?

Then, we dive into the heart of the session—the draping process. What the heck is “draping”? Colors are tested against your skin to see how they play together. What you’re really witnessing is how your complexion reacts to various hues through an optical transition created by the light bouncing off the colors. Some shades will make you glow like you’re backstage at the Met Gala, while others—well, they might dull your sparkle.

 I’ll ask you to remove any makeup and jewelry, and your hair will be covered (I even cover the heads of the bald gents for less distraction). We don’t want anything competing with your natural tones. You’ll sit in meticulously calibrated lighting from both sides to ensure your true colors shine through—literally. Both the analyst and client wear a gray cape, leaving only the face visable.  This meticulous setup is essential for ensuring the accuracy of the analysis, which is one of the reasons I choose the SciART 12 Seasonal Tones. Oh! And there’s a mirror in front of you, so don’t worry, you’ll see it all unfold.

And then what?

Once we’ve nailed down your colors, we’ll figure out how to put everything into motion. We’ll look through your new palette, dissect jewelry colors, your “neutrals”, hair color choices, and then—if you choose “Get Seasoned Plus”—we’ll dive into makeup. Together, we’ll apply the season-appropriate glam to confirm the final decision. We’ll evaluate your makeup undertone, declutter that makeup bag, and hunt for the perfect lip color from your personalized palette.

But wait, there’s more! I’ll show you how to use your Color Fan and how to make sure the colors you’re shopping for are in your season (close, but no cigar isn’t good – by this point you will have seen the detriment color can play if you’re not looking for the proper dimensional qualities..!!) – it’s called harmonizing and you’ll be an expert..!! 

Ongoing –

Just because your session ends doesn’t mean the magic stops – we’re in this together. You’ll leave with your Color Fan and have a 16 page digital guide on its way to answer all of those questions you had the second you left..!! What were my jewelry colors?  Hair colors? Nail colors?  My “Get Seasoned Plus” clients will also receive a 17 page Makeup Guide that is a TREASURE TROVE of seasonal suggestions, and a “Lip Strip” with all of your lip colors. And I’m always just an email away should you need some guidance or reassurance.  I love receiving those “first time in my colors” selfies.!!
