I follow the face's reaction... and that tells me the season
When a color opposes your skin’s undertone, it highlights surface flaws like shadows, fine lines, dark circles, and blemishes. Instead of enhancing your natural complexion, it draws attention to those imperfections, making them appear more pronounced. At the same time, it weakens the overall tone of your face, breaking it into separate parts. This can leave you with an unhealthy grey or greenish cast, making you look tired, older, or even unwell.

Opposing colors naturally highlight their differences, which can cause the edges where they meet to appear blurred or undefined. When your face is framed by colors that don’t harmonize with your skin tone, features like your jawline and cheekbones can fade into a hazy outline, making your face look less defined and even larger. This imbalance subtly draws attention away from your natural features, creating a sense that something is just slightly off.
